The Colby Echo is the weekly student newspaper of Colby College in Waterville, Maine. The paper is published every Wednesday that the College is in session. Students are strongly encouraged to contribute and should contact the editor of the section they are interested in working for in order to learn more.

Letters The Echo encourages letters from its readers, especially those within the immediate community. Letters should not exceed 400 words and pertain to a current topic or issue. However, the Echo reserves the right to run longer letters. Also, the Echo reserves the right to edit submissions for grammar and clarity and may choose not to run a letter. The Echo will not, under any circumstances, print an unsigned letter.

Letters are due to the Echo by midnight of the Sunday preceding the publication date. They should be submitted via e-mail to echo@thecolbyecho.com.

Opinion Page Editorials represent the majority opinion of the editorial board. Opinions expressed in the individual columns, letters or cartoons are those of the author, not of the Echo.

The Echo welcomes column and cartoon submissions from members of the Colby community.
