Good Morning from Michael

So I'm starting a new blog segment this week that I'm calling Good Morning from Michael. I love this job and wouldn't trade it for the world, but it involves some seriously late Tuesday nights. I'm going to be posting my thoughts right after we send to print so that you can get a picture of what I'm thinking about the paper right before I go to bed and you all wake up.

Great issue this week (although I'd say that any week), big theme is stress. We've got a news story, a feature and the editorial all revolving around it. As Editor and as a Colby student, this topic hits very close to home. Charlie Wulff was generous to give me a whole bag of left over S.H.O.C. stressballs last spring that I have strategically left laying around the office. Stress/time management is one of the hardest lessons I've had to learn in college.

Small briefs on the new hires for VP of Development and Director of Pugh Center/Dean of Multicultural Affairs. News got dropped on us pretty late, expect big follow-ups in the next issue.

Thanks for listening to my ramble. See you next week. As an added bonus, here's the newest track from one of the coolest new music makers I know of, Brenton Duvall. Just dropped on his blog this morning. SPB, GET THIS GUY FOR LOUDNESS!
