Good Morning from Michael 3/9/11
Good morning everybody. Another sleepless night in the Echo office. I'll just call it training for Doghead. Here's what's on my mind this week:
- Great SGA presidential debate tonight. I felt like the candidates went toe-to-toe with each other. We handed out surveys to everybody to let them choose whom they thought won each question, and whom they thought won overall. See our endorsement in the editorial online, or page 2 for a graph of the results. I would've expected the results to be more even, but Justin won by a landslide. We'll see if it translates into votes next week.
- Justin, Sam, Ray and I took a minute to pose for a photo together before the debate. I'm sure I'll look back on this some day and somebody will tease me for this beard I've got going on.
- Junot Diaz was huge last week. I couldn't make it because I had class, but everyone I spoke to loved it and it sounds like it was packed. Check out the article on the front page for more info.
- The staff seemed particularly sassy tonight. They seem to love few things more than giving me a hard time. Poor me; if I can dish it out I guess I have to take it.
That's all the juice I've got on my mindgrapes this week. Talk to you next week for the last issue before spring break.
Michael
