It has been a gorgeous sunny day here on the Hill. And as nighttime approaches, you're looking for something different to do this weekend. Well, look no further. The Theater & Dance Department is putting on Cuchulain, and it is certainly something different...

When: Thurday, Friday, and Saturday night

When: Doors open at 7:15, play starts at 7:30

Price: Tickets are FREE; you can get them at the box office

Length: 2.5 hours with an intermission. The first act is fairly long, but the second half is much shorter.

What is it: A series of 5 plays written by Yeats that Director Richard Sewell molded so they could be performed in one cohesive play.

What makes it worth going to see?

This play is performed completely in mask.  There are more than 30 masks to be used throughout the play.  Since the actors' faces will be covered, all emotional quality of the face is lost and the actors are required to use their bodies to express emotion.

All of Yeats' work is such a monumental part of the Irish culture. This play was written as the Irish identity was developing, and it is an important piece of Irish drama.

And it's free! So why not go check it out? But you'd better get there early. This show is sure to be a busy one.
