Over the break, I went to visit a friend in New York. We decided to stop by the Occupy Wall Street protest camped right in the heart of the Financial district and across the street from Ground Zero and the building site of the new tower.

These are some of the images I took from the protests and the posters they had pasted up around the city. In terms of my own observations, I think I was most surprised by the organization of the protesters. They had separate sections of the park set up for food, medical attention, prayer, and even a "people's library."
