Crew teams place fourth

The Colby men’s and women’s crew teams ventured down to Massachusetts this past weekend to face off against a field that included the University of New Hampshire (UNH), Ithaca College, Trinity College and Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) for the men, and Ithaca, the College of the Holy Cross, William Smith College and Connecticut College for the women.

Tennis wraps up season

It was a tale of two halves for the Colby tennis program over Columbus Day weekend. The men’s team had a strong showing at the Wallach Invitational Tournament at Bates College again this year, with two players reaching the final matches in their respective singles flights. The story was not the same for the women, however, as they finished a disappointing weekend 0-4.

In the second match of the weekend, the team, led by head coach Doanh Wang, won a strong decision over the University of Massachusetts at Boston. The Sunday contest began at noon and was taken squarely by the Mules in a 9-0 thrashing.
