Parents of Derrik Flahive to attend lacrosse games
This upcoming weekend, the parents of Derrik Flahive will be attending the men’s lacrosse games against Wesleyan University and Trinity College on Saturday, April 7 at 1 p.m. and Sunday, April 8 at 1 p.m., respectively.
Flahive, a junior lacrosse player, died in a tragic accident this past November while studying abroad in Chile, and the Mules have dedicated their season to his memory.
Outside of the lacrosse community, Flahive was known as an exuberant presence on campus, and he never missed the opportunity to participate in a new adventure. Flahive’s family, including father Roger, mother Katherine and sisters Megan and Shannon, ask that donations in Derrik’s memory be sent to the charity ¡Sin Represas!, an organization that seeks to prevent energy companies from building hydroelectric dams in the Chilean Patagonia.
With fond memories of Derrik, come support the Flahive family as the Mules continue their New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) season.
